Slovenian network tariff

In Slovenia the network charge (omrežnina) depends on when you use electricity and how much power you draw at once, which is where a battery and a good plan save real money. This page explains the terms on your bill and how SEMS uses them.
What are time blocks (časovni bloki)?
Every hour of the year belongs to one of five time blocks, from block 1, the most expensive, to block 5, the cheapest, depending on season, day type and hour. The higher season runs from November to February, with block 1 only in the higher season and block 5 only in the lower season.
What is agreed power (dogovorjena moč)?
Agreed power is the power in kW you agree to draw in each time block, and you pay a monthly charge for every kW of it, used or not. A cheaper block's agreed power must be at least that of the more expensive block before it. If you don't choose values, they are set from the average of your five highest peaks per block over twelve months.
What is excess power (presežna moč)?
When a quarter hour averages more than the agreed power of its block, the difference is excess power and is charged on top, more steeply the larger it is.
What changes in 2027?
From 1 January 2027 the block hours change; SEMS switches calendars by itself.

The official rules are published by the Energy Agency. Your own agreed power for each block is shown on your network bill.
How SEMS uses the tariff
SEMS knows the block of every quarter hour, including weekends and Slovenian public holidays, and adds its network energy charge to the electricity price, so shifting energy to a cheaper block shows its real saving.
The agreed power of each block is a grid import limit every strategy respects, and Peak Shaving uses the battery to stay below it. A quarter hour that still ends above it raises an alarm on the Events page with the average power and the agreed value.
Home Tariff also knows the household tariff: with MT/VT, VT applies on workdays from 6 to 22 h and MT at night, weekends and holidays; ET is one rate all day.
What you enter
On the Electricity Plan page, enter the agreed power and the network charges from your bill for each block: the energy charge per kWh and the power charge per kW and month. Enter all five power charges or none.
