Home Tariff
Home Tariff is for households on a fixed tariff with cheaper and dearer periods, such as MT/VT, a single ET price or the Slovenian network time blocks. It moves as much consumption as it can into the cheaper periods.
SEMS works from the prices on your Electricity Plan, network charges included. The house runs on solar first, then on the battery, and when the battery can't cover every expensive hour, it saves energy for the most expensive ones. With Allow grid charging on, SEMS also charges in the cheap periods ahead of the expensive consumption it expects.
Keeping a reserve
If your system can supply the house during a power cut, set Minimum battery reserve SoC (%). SEMS won't use the battery below that level for everyday consumption and charges it back if it drops under.
Charging by a set time
To have the battery at a certain level by a certain hour every day, enter Home tariff target hour (local) and Home tariff target SoC (%), and SEMS uses the cheapest periods before that hour. The hour switches this on; with only the hour set, SEMS aims for 90 % on sites with solar and 100 % without. Plan-ahead margin (min) on the Electricity Plan sets how early charging should finish.
Your operator or an integration can also ask SEMS to charge towards full ahead of an expected power cut.
What it won't do
Home Tariff never discharges the battery into the grid; the battery serves your own consumption. Solar the battery can't take is exported only if it earns your Minimum net profit (ct/kWh), otherwise it is stored or turned down.
For market prices and a battery that also earns money, use Savings or Backup.
What you need
Your tariff prices on the Electricity Plan (the Home tariff price source covers MT/VT and ET), and Allow grid charging if the battery should charge from the grid. The reserve, target and plan-ahead settings are in Advanced mode.
