What is SEMS

SEMS is the energy manager that runs your solar plant, batteries and EV chargers as one system. It is a small controller installed on site that reads every device, looks ahead at the weather and electricity prices, and tells the battery, inverters and chargers what to do.
You decide what it works towards: a full battery before expensive hours, no peaks above your agreed power, or no export at negative prices. You pick the goal as a strategy on the Strategy page and can change it at any time.
What SEMS can do for you
- Plan the battery around your real contract, market prices or a fixed tariff. See Dynamic prices.
- Keep grid import below the agreed power in each of the five Slovenian network time blocks, and tell you when a quarter hour went over.
- Stop solar export at a loss by storing the energy or turning the inverters down.
- Charge electric cars from spare solar power, through OCPP 1.6 JSON and OCPP 2.1 chargers or the SOFAR EV Charger.
- Run several batteries and inverters, also from different manufacturers, as one site. One controller can also manage several separate systems.
- Keep the full history on the controller, with export to Excel, CSV or XML.
It works on site
SEMS runs on the controller, not in the cloud, so a broken internet connection does not stop your site. The internet is used for prices, weather forecasts and optional remote support from CyberSun.
